Temporary Position: Business Development Project Assistant

Duration: 3 months – great potential to extend

Pay: $15 to $ 17 per hour

We are looking for a qualified Business Development Project Assistant to join our team. The right candidate will work in the office (Greenpoint, Brooklyn) and be willing to wear a mask while in the office (for COVID-19 mitigation and safety purposes).

Our company is a trusted advisor to businesses, government agencies, and non-profit organizations. Our fast-growing business seeks a highly motivated Assistant who can apply business practices and business marketing knowledge in a fast-paced, small business environment.

Tasks and Duties

Assigned tasks and responsibilities may fall under any of the following categories:

Marketing Tasks

• Direct marketing to potential clients, agencies, primes, companies

• Assist with developing materials for the website, blogs, capability statements, and other marketing materials

• Participate in networking and presale events

Recruiting Tasks

• Recruiting activities – job posting, candidate outreach, candidate pre-screening

• Assist with Internal Job Site management

• Assist with Internal Resume Database management

• Assist with business development activities for staffing and related projects

Business Development Tasks

• Maintain our profile in Bidder's lists and databases

• Monitor solicitation sources for procurement opportunities

• Direct marketing to potential clients, agencies, primes, etc.,

• Maintain a subcontractor database / and subcontractor relationships

• Respond to inquiries about our services

• Develop templates for requests for quotes, requests for proposals, capability statements, company profiles

• Draft response to solicitations – requests for proposals, quotes, bids, etc.

• Assist with developing our Reseller Program (create a catalog, contacts database, respond to requests for quotes, maintain bid's lists)

• Assist with developing materials for the website, blogs, capability statements, and other marketing materials

• Participate in networking and presale events

Project Coordination Tasks

• Assist with project planning and management tasks as assigned

Other Tasks

• Assist with project planning and management tasks as assigned

Qualifications:

• Business Administration/ Marketing or related major

• Excellent critical thinking and problem-solving skills

• Excellent written and verbal communication skills

• Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills

• A quick learner with an excellent work ethic

• Comfortable with learning to perform tasks in all task categories listed above

  • Interest in longer-term employment

Job Requirements

  • Track project data in project management software
  • Consolidating project files at completion of project
  • Provide project data reports to perspective project group for review
  • Distribute minutes for weekly project meetings
  • Managing project office work plans
  • Received from staff with project or non-project clerical work
  • Follow up on project documents including correspondence
  • Perform other general project support duties
  • Provide administrative support to administrative department, the project managers, and project controllers
  • Provide administrative help to the project managers
  • Provide general administrative support to the project teams
  • Initiate conference calls for project manager's scheduled meetings Proofread/edit project documents
  • Manage communication of project activities and sensitive project requirements
  • Organize and maintain project files, filing system and project communications
  • Execute project requirements by working with manger and senior project managers
  • Create expense reports for project team members
  • Perform project non-technical duties
