Job Description

Our client is one of the largest providers of eating disorder treatments in the U.S. Its regional treatment centers throughout the U.S. provide residential treatment, partial hospitalization, and intensive outpatient for eating disorders and co-occurring mental health issues such as anxiety, trauma, chemical dependency, and depression.

Starting September 27, we will be supporting our client’s telephone outreach efforts to pre-qualify individuals who have just completed an online Eating Disorder Assessment. This will involve both real-time follow-through calls to those who’ve just submitted their online Eating Disorder Assessment, as well as follow-up calls to those who’ve recently competed the assessment within a few days, but have not yet been pre-qualified.

This is a temporary support position scheduled to run through early 2022, possibly beyond.

Please note that this is not a hotline. This is a telephone outreach position.

You will not be offering advice or solutions, rather, you will simply be pre-qualifying individuals who have already expressed interest in seeking help for their eating disorder. (a qualified professional will follow up with the individual)

Compassion and emotional intelligence are critical to this role, as well as ability to work well under pressure while following strict, professional guidelines.

Expect to spend the majority of your day making outbound calls responding to inquiries from our spacious, health-conscious offices in the Irving Park neighborhood of Chicago. We are conveniently located near CTA bus, El and Metra stops.

Extra Consideration for those who have:

  • Call Center Experience (inbound or outbound)
  • Experience working in the helping professions (background in mental health, recovery, or general healthcare)
